The Box Hill Institute Bookshop provides textbooks and learning resources required for Institute courses, as well as stationery, art supplies, computer needs and beyond. We have a wide variety of products for the support of the educational needs of students and the requirements of teachers and institute staff, as well as general items of interest. Members of the public are most welcome. We offer competitive pricing without compromising on the quality of goods supplied. We have outlets conveniently located at the Elgar and Whitehorse Campuses.
Customers can also browse and place orders through our bookshop catalogue, which lists prices and availability of our stock.
The Bookshop provides a special order service that allows you to order items not currently stocked. You need to complete a special order form and either mail, email, fax or drop it off at the Bookshop. To confirm some special orders a deposit may be required. Please contact the Bookshop with all enquiries.
After hours collection service
If you are unable to come in to the Bookshop during our opening hours to make your purchases, you may pay for your items by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) and then collect them at your convenience from the library desk. Place your order either via the bookshop catalogue or by contacting the Bookshop during service hours. Please note that 24 hours notice is required.
Guide to postage, packing and handling rates
Orders may be personally collected or posted out. View postage charges for a guide to the pricing applicable.
View the Bookshop returns policy for full details of our policy for returns/exchanges on purchases. Please note that this policy is also printed on our Bookshop receipts and the original purchase receipt must be presented in order for a return or exchange to be considered.
Invoicing to an external business
In instances where an external business (eg. an employer or an agency) will be paying for a student’s textbook and/or material purchases, please forward to the Bookshop either a purchase order or a letter authorising the issue of an invoice. You must include the business letterhead and ABN, together with student details and details of the items required. Please note if you require the items to be posted out or collected from the Bookshop. Allow a minimum of 48 hours for collection of your purchases; you will be notified if there will be any further delays. Once processed, an invoice will be sent to the business for payment.
