Medibank Private and Box Hill Institute Scholarships 

Through its generous sponsors, Box Hill Institute is offering a range of scholarships for full

time students in Semester 1, 2012.

Box Hill Institute in partnership with Medibank Private has created several scholarships to recognise academic achievement and to assist students who are financially or personally in need.

The scholarships are available to International students enrolled in either a Vocational Education and Training (VET) or a higher degree course. All awards are in kind contributions (credited towards the fees for the final semester of study) and no part of a scholarship will be given or refunded as cash.

The following scholarships will be offered each semester:

VET Academic Achievement and Community Participation Scholarships

There are three (3) scholarships valued at $1500 each which contribute to the cost of a student’s tuition fees.

 

Criteria

• You must have completed at least one semester of a VET course 
• You must demonstrate academic achievement 
• You must prove active participation in the Box Hill Institute community and/or local community
• You must have current overseas health cover membership with Medibank Private. 

 

The 2011 recipients were VeeVian Chong, Tania Fernandes, Ayat Imanzadeh, Jake Young and Sherphin Tumalad.

 

Higher Education Achievement and Community Participation Scholarship 

There are two scholarships valued at $1500 each which contribute to the cost of a student’s tuition fees, for the final semester of study.

 

Criteria

• You must have completed at least one year of a Higher Education course 
  
• You must demonstrate academic achievement 
• You must prove active participation in the Box Hill Institute community and/or local community
• You must have current overseas health cover membership with Medibank Private. 

The 2011 recipient was Nitish Ramchurn.
 

Study Support Scholarships

There are three (3) study support scholarships of $500 each which contribute to the cost of student’s tuition fees. 

 

Criteria 

• You must have completed at least one semester of a Box Hill Institute course 
• You must demonstrate satisfactory results within your course
• You must have current overseas health cover membership with Medibank Private.
• You must demonstrate financial disadvantage with supporting documentation

 

The 2011 recipients were Subir Singh and Zvia Ben-Rahamin.
