Network Ten Peter and Laura Perpetual Scholarship
Network Ten in association with Box Hill Institute offers a scholarship at Box Hill Institute Broadcast Television. The scholarship honours two young employees, Laura Irwin and Peter Mastrogiannis, who tragically lost their lives in 2006.
Laura Irwin was an exceptional graduate from Box Hill Institute Broadcast Television, who died with her sister Colleen in January 2006. Laura initially worked at Network Ten as a trainee and became a valued and respected team member. Peter Mastrogiannis was also a respected Network Ten member who died shortly before the Irwin sisters. Peter's infectious enthusiasm for television epitomises the spirit of the Network Ten scholarship.
Laura and Peter were passionate and committed to their chosen careers. The recipient of this scholarship must be able to demonstrate their own passion and commitment to the television industry as they represent a living tribute to Laura and Peter's memories.
Network Ten is generously offering a scholarship to a student undertaking the Certificate IV in Screen and Media (Television). The scholarship is valued at $7,500. The winner of the 2009 Network Ten Peter and Laura Perpetual Scholarship in 2009 was Chris Jones.
