Chris Arnost ‘Stay Focused’ Memorial Scholarships
The Chris Arnost Trust in partnership with Box Hill Institute have established two annual Chris Arnost Memorial Scholarships to pay tribute to Chris Arnost and honour his enthusiastic approach to life. Chris was an electrical apprentice at Box Hill Institute, who unexpectedly passed away in April 2010.
A popular student with a loving family and many close friends, Chris kept a hand written note on his mirror that simply reminded him to ‘Stay Focused’, which epitomises the way that Chris lived his life. This scholarship has been designed to enable recipients to stay focused on their studies and the reasons why they chose to be an Electrician, and to encourage them to balance the important things in their life, while assisting with some of the financial costs of studying.
Criteria
The scholarships will be presented in two installments of $500 each at the end of Semester One and Semester Two, amounting to a total annual value of $1000 for each recipient.
The 2011 scholarship winners were Ross Kennett and Jason Eid.
