Campus tours
We welcome individuals or groups (up to 50 people) to tour the Institute. We cater for school groups or smaller groups from agencies and also provide an escorted tour for prospective students and their parents. Each tour takes about an hour.
Tours include a short talk about the TAFE system and Box Hill Institute. We give each prospective student an information pack with course information and promotional items. We then take people to different parts of the Institute for an overall look at facilities and to see some teachers and students in class or training room settings.
A tour of our Elgar Campus can include visits to hair and beauty, hospitality and tourism, automotive, engineering, air conditioning and refrigeration, biological sciences and animal studies, broadcast television, building and plumbing, and business programs.
A tour of our Nelson Campus can include visits to computer technology, electrical, and information technology.
A tour of our Whitehorse Campus can include visits to four areas from the following: performing art, music, dance and fitness, multimedia, fashion, visual arts, graphic arts, and furniture design.
Tour programs can be tailored to suit your needs and interests. To see the Institute at work, morning tours should ideally start at 10.30am and afternoon tours at 1.30pm.
