Will I get a refund if I withdraw?
Government subsidised courses in:
- Foundation
- Apprentice and Trainee
- Skills Creation
- Skills Building
- Fee Maintenance for Certificates I – IV categories
Only students who withdraw within the first four weeks after their official course commencement may be eligible for a tuition contribution fee refund.
You must complete and lodge the Course Exit form or Unit Withdrawal form with Student Administration on your campus within four weeks of the start of your course.
If you leave the course within four weeks of it starting you are entitled to a full refund of the tuition contribution fee.
Materials fee refunds
Material fee refunds are at the discretion of the relevant teaching centre. The refund depends on the time lapsed and materials purchased, supplied or used at the time of withdrawal.
Self funded courses in:
- Foundation
- Apprentice and Trainee
- Skills Creation
- Skills Building
- Fee Maintenance for Certificates I – IV categories
You are considered to be self-funded if you enrolled in a program that was not government subsidised. Refunds are at the discretion of the teaching centre. Please check with your course coordinator regarding the refund policy.
Tuition contribution fee
All students who withdraw on or prior to the unit census date will be eligible for a refund of all upfront unit/subject fees paid, and/or where an application for VET FEE-HELP was submitted, will have their application for VET FEE-HELP cancelled for the relevant units.
You must complete and lodge the Course Exit form or Unit Withdrawal form with Student Administration at the Elgar campus on or prior to the unit census date.
Service and Amenities Fee
Service and Amenity Fee refunds will only be issued prior to your earliest unit census date.
Material fee
Material fee refunds are at the discretion of the relevant teaching centre manager. Refunds are dependent upon the time lapsed and materials already purchased/supplied/utilised at the time of withdrawal.
Self-funded courses
All local/domestic students who withdraw on or prior to the unit census date will be eligible for a refund of all upfront unit/subject fees paid, and/or where an application for VET FEE-HELP was submitted, will have their application for VET FEE-HELP cancelled for the relevant units.
