Library technicianIn modern life everyone needs to access and manipulate digital information. Searching the web is an access point but you need more structure. This comes from libraries, which are increasingly offering digital access based on their traditional strength of books and other resources. We train library technicians, the specialists who catalogue and retrieve — vital steps that turn data into information that you can then absorb and turn into knowledge. Skilled staffOur staff are qualified workplace assessors; if you already have an ICT-related qualification and you want to upgrade it through recognition of relevant workplace experience, we can help you. Staff are in tune with the latest innovations and technological developments. Many of them have spent time teaching, researching and training overseas (Asia, Canada, India and USA), establishing relationships with training institutes. This creates interesting opportunities for study and employment for students. Our facilitiesThe Centre for ICT is located in a modern building at Nelson Campus, with well-equipped networking labs and electronic workshops. We offer program delivery though a number of different modes including: - on campus (full-time or part-time)
- at the workplace
- distance learning (flexible – at home or by correspondence).
