This exciting new instructor-mentored, self paced eLearning online course is designed for the student who has no problems working at home at their own pace. The courses consist of 20 hours of Microsoft Official eLearning collections, with regular face to face and online classroom support available from our experienced instructors to keep you on track and assist your learning experience. This course, when combined with the eLearning course collection "Fundamentals of a Windows Server 2008 Network", provides preparatory training for the following Microsoft certification Exam 70-642: TS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring.

Prerequisites:

Given the structure of this course it is recommended that you have a familiarity with online learning programs and the disipline to self study. A broadband internet connection will be required to view the course content. A PC or Notebook cable of running Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 is also recommended for creating a home lab environment.

You should also have the following :

  • Working experience with Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008
  • Completion of the online collection 6420: Fundamentals of a Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure and Application Platform or equivalent knowledge . Understanding of security concepts and methodologies (for example, corporate policies)
  • Basic knowledge of DHCP and IPSec

Access to the course materials at Microsoft eLearning is provided. Software to compliment your online training experience will also be provided as well as access to discounted certification exams.

Refund Policy (short courses)

Course Withdrawal & Refunds: Fee refunds will only be issued if a course withdrawal request is received at least five (5) working days prior to the date of course commencement. A 25% administration fee will be charged. No refunds will be issued for withdrawal requests received after this time.

Course Transfers: Students wishing to transfer to a future start date of the same course will be accepted if a request is received at least five (5) working days prior to the date of course commencement, and providing a suitable future course offering is available. For all transfer requests, a $35 transfer fee will apply.

Course Cancellation by the Institute: Where a course is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.

Processing of refunds takes a minimum of twelve (12) working days. All refunds will be made directly to the payee, and will be mailed to the payee’s address as shown on the application form. For online/web-based fee payments made via credit card, refunds will only be made to the payee’s credit card as was used for the original fee payment.
