Course Content

Taking great images is only half the effort; making them look good in print or on the web is the other half. In this popular course, you will be shown how to purposefully use Photoshop’s many Tools to: adjust colour and contrast, repair images, convert them to B&W and vice versa, crop and combine them to form a collage. In the process you will understand such things as: resolution, file sizes and format, layers and layer-masking and much more. You will learn the “how” as well as the “why.” Well-written notes and support materials are provided.

Some of the concepts and techniques covered include: scanning and resolution, contrast adjustment and colour correction via levels and curves, selection tools and masking techniques, Photoshop’s channels, layers and bending modes, special effects and much more.

This course consists of 2 Saturdays from 10am to 5pm. At the end of this course you will have your own enhanced images on a CD, plus notes and the skills to continue to develop your own work.
