What does this course involve?

Conducted by correspondence only, this course is for automotive technicians who are employed in the servicing and repair of automotive air conditioning systems, and also to newcomers to the industry.

This course will give you the skills and knowledge to install and service automotive air-conditioning systems. You will learn how to carry out diagnostic procedures and use the right tools and equipment for the job.

You will also learn how to repair single electrical circuits, install ancillary electrical components and carry out service operations.

This course allows you to obtain current licensing in relation to government ozone protection and synthetic greenhouse gas management legislation.

This course may lead to employment opportunities relating to vehicle air-conditioning servicing or installation. It is designed for those wanting to update their existing air-conditioning systems and licensing qualifications.

This unit covers the competence required to diagnose component/equipment faults from different symptoms and to nominate repair action.
