What does this course involve?

Study the essentials of cabinet making and then continue on to specialise in either kitchen and bathroom, or solid timber carpentry with this apprenticeship course.
You will focus on the manufacture of flat panel cabinetry and fitted furniture to meet the domestic and commercial standards. You will gain in-depth knowledge of all manufacture board products and composite materials for each area.

You will also understand and apply your installation techniques to suit every facet of cabinetry and be able to fit modern appliances. You will receive training in the specialist use of high volume CAD/CAM equipment. You will also design and manufacture complex shapes and components to assemble units and cabinetry to high specifications and tolerances.

What employment opportunities will I have?

After successful completion you may have opportunities to work as a tradesperson in furniture making and the cabinet making industry.
