If you’re looking for a career or want to develop your skills in information and communications technology, this apprenticeship course is designed for you. You will learn how to create user documents, install operating system software and run standard diagnostic tests.
You will also develop your communication skills, learn to provide advice to clients and apply Occupational Health and Safety principles in the workplace. You will also learn how to implement system software changes, customise software for clients and use advanced features of computer applications.
This course may provide you with entry-level information and communications technology employment opportunities as an administration officer, office worker or junior technician.
You may wish to progress to the Certificate IV in Information Technology, and then on to further studies in Diploma in Information Technology courses. If you complete the Valhalla Traineeship version of this course the skills acquired can influence the subjects you choose in VCE, and open pathways for further study in the field of Video Game Design.
