What does this course involve?

If you would like to work in a five star resort, day spa or beauty salon then this is the course for you.

You will be equipped with the most up-to-date beauty treatment knowledge. You will learn to practice the ancient healing methods of hydrotherapy, aromatherapy and massage.

This exciting course teaches you traditional beauty therapy with a holistic twist utilising natural products and environmentally sustainable practices.

Experience in a simulated day spa environment will allow you to gain confidence and expertise under the guidance of expert teachers.

This course is also available to international students.

What employment opportunities will I have?

This course leads to work in beauty salons, spa retreats, resorts and hairdressing salons that provide beauty services.

This course is Government accredited and has National recognition.

What further study options will I have?

On successful completion of this course and having gained industry experience, you may apply to other higher education organisations to further your studies.

Can I apply?

You must:

be 17 years (or mature age)
have successful completed Year 11
have sufficient literacy, numeracy and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the course.

How do I apply?

VTAC - to apply for a full time position in this course you must use the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) process. Details of the VTAC application process are at www.vtac.edu.au and in the VTAC Guide, which is available from leading newsagents and libraries from August. If the Institute still has vacancies after the VTAC places have been offered, you will be able to apply directly to the Institute.

What costs and other fees should I expect?

For this course, there are two fee structures. Visit the Government Subsidised Place Eligibility page to see if you are eligible for a Government subsidised place.

Government Subsidised Fees

Tuition Fee - $4.33 per hour (max $2,500.00)
Service and Amenities Fee - $65.00 or 90.00

Fee For Service Fees

Fee for Service - this course will cost $15,000.00 if you aren't eligible for government subsidised training.
