What does this course involve?

Enjoy being around children? This course will give you the ability to design and implement engaging programs for infants and pre-schoolers including responsibility for other staff and volunteers.

Learn all about children’s social, emotional and psychological development, plan care routines and handle all aspects of administration in a child care environment.
You will also learn how to provide children with a safe and healthy environment and work with children who have additional needs.

What employment opportunities will I have?

This course may provide you with 'skills shortage' employment opportunities as a Level 3 or 4 Child Care Worker in long day care, occasional care, family day care, sessional services, adjunct care, pre-schools and kindergartens, early intervention services, neighbourhood houses, Australian migrant education program services, mobile services and other specialised services.

Applicants must have:

  • successfully completed the core units from Certificate III in Children's Services (CHC30508) prior to commencing the Diploma units
  • previously registered with an Australian Apprenticeship Centre
  • a training contract with an employer.

Fee for Service - this course will cost $20,000.00 if you aren't eligible for government subsidised training.
