What does this course involve?

This traineeship is suitable for those who provide technical support under a pharmacist’s supervision in a hospital setting and those who supervise pharmacy technicians.

You will learn how to conduct small-scale compounding of general and aseptic pharmaceuticals, prepare batch, work sheets and labels and assist in dispensing administration. Learn how to support pharmacists by collecting and providing the right information.

Develop your knowledge of advanced medical terms, learn how to implement and monitor compliance with legal and ethical requirements, and comply with infection control policies and procedures.

You can choose to study the core unit - Conduct small-scale compounding of aseptic pharmaceutical products in your workplace or at Box Hill Institute.

Please note: this course is not designed for retail pharmacy workers.

Fee for Service - this course will cost $1,751.00 if you aren't eligible for government subsidised training.
