What does this course involve?

This course is designed for those working in the furniture manufacturing, or cabinet-marking sector in kitchen, bathroom, office and commercial furniture or fitments.
You will gain skills in all types of cabinet construction, the assembly and advanced methods of curved and angular construction and reading and interpreting work documents.

Learn to make furniture using the leg and rail method, select and apply hardware and construct custom furniture.
You will also learn how to produce manual and computer aided production drawings.

  • successfully completed Year 10 of education, including reading comprehension skills and mathematics (estimating and costing skills)
  • previously registered with an Australian Apprenticeship Centre
  • a training contract with an employer.
