What does this course involve?

This course gives you the ability to complete Year 12, (Units 3 and 4) of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), in an adult environment.
You will receive a widely accepted qualification and be eligible for entry into a wide range of TAFE or university courses.
You will study English as well as a minimum of three other subjects in arts, science, maths, business, law, social sciences and information technology.

Entrance requirements

  • Successful completion of Australian Year 11 or, equivalent, or attempted Australian Year 12 or equivalent.
  • Appropriate English and Maths standard (if applicable).

English language proficiency

  • A minimum IELTS overall score of 5.5 (Academic).
  • A minimum TOEFL score of 530 for paper examination; 179 for computer based and 71 for Internet based.

$AUD 11,300 per year, plus service and materials fees.

Course Structure

To receive the VCE award, students must satisfactorily complete at least 16 units over 2 years of study including:

  • at least three units of English
  • at least three unit 3-4 sequences of studies other than English.

Students who are considered adults returning to study are required to pass at least eight units, including two units of English and three sequences of units 3-4. Year 12 students are expected to study eight to ten units during the academic year ( four to five units per semester) Units are selected from the subjects listed below.
