What does this course involve?

Develop and enhance your skills in graphic art, graphic design, industrial design, product design, and related design studies with this course. You will learn about design concepts, and selecting the right techniques and media to communicate ideas. You will develop an understanding of graphic design techniques, colour application, typography and digital production. Design history drawing, 3D modelling and visual effects design are also covered in this course. This course is the first year in the three-year Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design.
Your major studies cover design (including 3D and colour aspects), design process and theory, digital modelling (3D), graphic design, illustration, typography.

Entrance requirements

Australian Year 12 or equivalent with a pass, however relevant senior employment experience in industry will be considered.

English language proficiency

A minimum IELTS overall score of 5.5 (Academic). A minimum TOEFL score of 530 for paper examination; 179 for computer based and 71 for Internet based.

Special admission requirements

Applicants are required to submit an artwork folio for assessment. For further information about folio or audition preparation refer to the Guide to folio presentation.

Cost

$AUD11,300 per year, plus amenities and materials fees.

What further study options will I have?

You may wish to specialise in graphic art, graphic design, media or interior design, at Diploma, Advanced Diploma or university degree courses in other design disciplines.
