This course provides you with realistic practical training in software development and computer applications programming.
You will program Oracle databases, Microsoft Visual Studio and Sun Java, and you will use technology such as VB.NET and Java GUI applications. You will learn how to gather information to identify business requirements, translate business needs into technical requirements and build software using rapid application development.
If you successfully complete the Diploma of Information Technology (Software Development) you will have the opportunity to go on and complete the Diploma of Information Technology (Website Development) in the same time frame. Industry standard vendor qualification in Oracle is also available.
Australian Year 12 or equivalent with a pass, however relevant senior employment experience in industry will be considered.
A minimum IELTS overall score of 5.5 (Academic). A minimum TOEFL score of 530 for paper examination; 179 for computer based and 71 for Internet based.
