What does this course involve?

This course is designed to prepare you for work as a clerical or administration officer in a range of industries.

You will learn how to use your initiative in a business environment, organise your daily tasks and manage workplace information.

You will learn how to produce business documents, maintain business resources and deliver high-quality customer service.

This course will also teach you how to support innovation and change initiatives within the workplace, communicate effectively with others and meet customer needs.

You will also study these units: Planning and informing, Looking after our customers, Document it, Being a workplace citizen and Keeping track of the financials.

Entrance requirements

Australian Year 12 or equivalent with a pass, however relevant senior employment experience in industry will be considered.

English language proficiency

A minimum IELTS overall score of 5.5 (Academic).
A minimum TOEFL score of 530 for paper examination; 179 for computer based and 71 for Internet based.

$AUD5,650 for 6 months, plus amenities and materials fees.

What employment opportunities will I have?

This course may provide you with employment opportunities as a clerical-administrative worker across all industries. Relevant job titles may include customer service officer, data entry operator, general clerk, payroll officer, typist or word processing operator.

What further study options will I have?

After successful completion, you will have many options for further study. These could include the Certificate IV in Business or the Certificate IV in Marketing.
On the successful completion of a Certificate IV in Business, you may then have the option of continuing on to a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Business with various specialisations.
