Nicholas Beale

Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology

Nicholas has always been interested in working the automotive industry which was reflected in the commitment and dedication he showed in completing the course.  Nicholas impressed his teachers who commented that he had exceeded their expectations.  Thriving on the tight-knit learning environment at Box Hill Institute he not only excelled in his work but assisted other students whenever possible.  Nicholas explained “We are all here for one reason, with one goal, so it was good to be able to help out.”

Nicholas has used his training at Box Hill Institute to offer new ideas in his workplace, Penfold Holden.  These ideas included interacting more with customers and having specialised training for staff.  Enjoying the technical side of the automotive industry, and the variety of work, Nicholas found TAFE beneficial especially engine management – the more technical, the better!

Nicholas obviously enjoys speed as he rides motorbikes in his spare time.  During his time at Box Hill Institute he was asked to be an ambassador at Open Day and helped out with other activities for the TAFE.  Down the track Nicholas hopes to become a gold accredited Holden technician.
