VICTORIA POLICE EDUCATION ENTRANCE EXAMINATION UPDATE
We have received confirmation from Victoria Police that the current examination service will continue until 30 June 2012.
Course Information
Box Hill Institute is an official testing venue for the Victoria Police Education Entrance Exam.
Candidates undergo numerous phases of testing prior to acceptance into Victoria Police.
Phase One is this exam — Education Testing. All applicants must sit all five tests at an initial sitting:
- Spelling and Comprehension Test
- Mathematics Test
- Test of Reasoning Ability
- English Skills Test
- Writing Task.
Eligibility
A person who is under 21 years must have successfully completed the Victorian Certificate of Education, a VCE equivalent or an interstate VCE equivalent. You must also be a citizen or a permanent resident of Australia or entitled to this status under Commonwealth law.
If you have prior convictions, including some traffic offences, or believe you may not meet the strict medical requirements please contact the Victoria Police Recruiting Office on (03) 9247 5229 before completing the exam.
VETASSESS will mail you your official results within 21 days of sitting the exam. If you successfully complete the entrance exam, you will receive an application form with your results. Once you receive it, you will be required to make contact with your local police station to make an appointment for a preliminary interview.
For candidates sitting on December 13 or December 16 VETASSESS guarantees that you will receive your results in time for you to submit your application to Victoria Police by COB on December 31.

Fee - $90.00 First Sitting of Complete Exam. $35.00 per test (resits only) (GST Exempt).
Time - 8.30am – 1.00pm.

Please note that enrolments close 7 days before each exam. However, exam size is limited and may be booked out before then. Enrolments will be taken in order of receipt so it is advisable to enrol early.
