Skills for Growth Program
Some employees of small and medium-sized business participate in assessment and analysis to identify training that is valuable to them and their employers.
If you have been though this assessment with an authorized Skill for Growth provider, you must present with your Skills for Growth referral, to enrol.
Your fee will then depend on whether you are entitled to a government subsidised or self funded place in the course.
You will be entitled to a government subsidised place, if you:
- meet required citizenship/residency requirements and
- meet age and prior qualification requirements, as follows:
For all course levels except those under the Foundation category, your fees will depend on both your age (as at 1 January 2010), and on whether you have already completed/hold any equivalent or higher level Australian qualifications in the past, to the course in which you are enrolling, as follows:
- If you are aged under 20 you are eligible to pay the government subsidised rates regardless of any prior qualifications you may hold.
- If you are aged 20+ and have not completed / hold any prior equivalent or higher-level Australian qualifications, you are eligible to pay the government subsidised rates
- If you are aged 20+ and have completed / hold any prior equivalent or higher-level Australian qualifications, you are not eligible for a government subsidised place and must enrol as a self funded student, and pay the self funded course rate for that course.
For Foundation category courses, you are eligible for a government subsidised place providing you meet citizenship requirements only, regardless of your age.
