What do we do?
The Centre for Electrical and Refrigeration Trades covers four major areas of study; electrical, refrigeration/air-conditioning, security systems and telecommunication cabling.
The Centre offers an electrical pre-vocational course for those people seeking an apprenticeship in the electrical, security systems and refrigeration trades. The course is extremely popular with students who have just finished secondary school and for those seeking apprenticeships.
The Refrigeration Facility is a major training provider for industries specialising in refrigeration, air-conditioning and appliance servicing. Box Hill Institute is one of a limited number of VET providers to offer the refrigeration and air-conditioning apprenticeships in Victoria, providing day and block release for regional students.
