So you think you can dance! Designed for dancers who are seeking teaching qualifications, Box Hill Institute’s dance teaching and management courses will put you in step with a vibrant industry.


These courses aim to promote the highest standards and safest practices.  You will learn from passionate and experienced industry professionals.  You will gain a thorough introduction to the practice of teaching in dance studios, the principles of business management and promotion, and the elements of safe dance, including anatomy and physiology. 


Your training will have a ballet focus but can take in various dance genres, including jazz, character and contemporary. The courses have a high degree of practical content and incorporate elements of technical production. You will gain hands-on experience in choreography as well as production design and implementation.

 

Your training will also benefit from a strong networking emphasis, being conducted in a supportive team-based environment. Box Hill Institute dance teaching and management courses are particularly popular with those wishing to work as dance teachers in private studios, and with dancers wishing to expand their teaching knowledge and skills. As a graduate, you will be well qualified to commence work in the industry, or to undertake further study. Credit transfers are available with Deakin University.
