Avant Anthology

The Avant Anthology is an annual showcase of writing from new and emerging writers. Avant accepts submissions from Box Hill Institute students and staff, and also includes a national short story competition open to the general public.

The Avant 2011 Anthology will be launched by Benjamin Grant Mitchell, Box Hill Institute Professional Writing graduate and author of "The Last Great Day".

The launch is from 6.30 to 7.30pm on Thursday 1 December 2011, at Readers of Whitehorse bookstore in the Centro Shopping Mall, Box Hill, VIC. (In the Whitehorse Road part of Centro, up the escalators, next to Harris Scarfe.)

RRP is $17.95 but discounted at the launch.

Entry is free, open to the public, and no bookings are required. Light refreshments will be served.

Avant 2011 features a stunning array of new writing talent and a 12-page centre section of vibrant colour artworks from Creative Industries students. Thank you to all writers for their submissions in 2011. The standard of entries was particularly high.
