Education Alliances

Box Hill Institute understands in the importance of creating strong partnerships and collaborations and has recently developed and strengthened several key strategic alliances.

 

CAE Partnership 

In September 2011, the Box Hill Institute board, management and staff welcomed the news of an exciting new partnership between Box Hill Institute and the Centre for Adult Education (CAE).
 
CAE has over 60 years experience in delivering accredited courses designed to help adults complete their secondary education and begin or change their career direction.
 
A positive step forward for the CAE and Box Hill Institute, the new partnership promises to forge a long and successful future which will offer a unique blend of lifelong learning with career focused outcomes. With a proud history that has seen Box Hill Institute firmly establish itself as a premier TAFE provider, both in Victoria and internationally, the Institute looks forward to this new chapter in its vibrant history. The new partnership was endorsed by the Minister for Higher Education and Skills and the Minister Responsible for the Teaching Profession, the Hon. Peter Hall MLC, the Box Hill Institute Board Chair, Elizabeth White and her fellow Box Hill Institute board members.

Box Hill Institute has an international alliance with the Global Education Network comprising:
The Post Secondary International Network (PIN) is an alliance of postsecondary institutions dedicated to the continuance of international education and understanding through a sharing of experience. The first of its kind in Australia, Box Hill Institute partnered with a number of institutes in Australia and Europe to deliver the Vocational Certificate in Working Globally. The partnership comprises the following institutes:

Off-shore Vocational Education and Training Delivery

Box Hill Institute provides education and training in a range of international locations including campuses and licensed partners in Melbourne, Singapore, Macau, Kuwait, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Fiji, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Vietnam, Malaysia and China.
 

International Clients

Box Hill Institute works with a diverse range of international clients to build their workforce capability. In 2011, the Institute provided training and services to clients based in various countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Colombia, Macau, the Maldives, China and the United Arab Emirates.
 

School Partnerships

Box Hill Institute has partnerships with over 100 secondary colleges. Arrangements include the provision of Vocational Education Training in Schools (VETiS), Pathways Program (formerly Growth and Pathways) and Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) programs. These programs are provided both at Box Hill Institute and within the school environment. The Institute also has a unique relationship with the Whitehorse Pathways Alliance, creating affiliations between Box Hill Institute and schools within and around the City of Whitehorse.
 

Community Partnerships

Box Hill Institute has a strong commitment to the eastern
suburbs of Melbourne and, as part of its corporate citizenship= agenda, works with a number of community-based organisations. In 2011, the Institute continued to work closely with the Cities of Manningham and Whitehorse, local Rotary Club districts and other community partners on a range of education and training initiatives.
 

Industry Partnerships

Box Hill Institute works extensively with industry partners to service industry training needs and to obtain input into the design of course content. During 2011, a significant number of new programs were developed in response to industry demand.
 
The Institute’s alumni program ensures contact is kept with students as they progress through their careers.
