Professional Background 

 

Kerri owned and operated her own business and managed businesses in the eastern suburbs from 1976 until 1986.

 

In 1985, Kerri became a casual teacher at Box Hill Institute and began full time employment as a teacher in the Centre for Hairdressing in 1986.


Kerri worked on a variety of projects across the Institute between1993 to1997 and played a leadership role in the development of student centered learning material for Hairdressing, Beauty, Floristry and Health and Community Service and acting Centre Manager roles.

 

In 1995 through to 1997 Kerri managed two National Best Practice and Benching Marking projects. In 1997 Kerri was appointed Centre Manager for Hair and Beauty and in 1998 the centre was merged to form the Centre for Hair Beauty and Floristry and in 1999 a new addition to the centre created the Centre for Hair Beauty Floristry and Leisure,

 

In 2000 Kerri moved from a teaching manager’s role to Executive Support Manager Directorate and in 2004 was appointed as General Manager Teaching and Apprenticeship.  In 2007, Kerri’s role changed to General Manager Innovation and Creative Industries.
