Areas of Responsibility
Jennifer is charged with the responsibility to provide educational leadership across the Institute to ensure the Institute remains pre-eminent as a provider of quality education and training. Jennifer reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and deputises for both the Deputy CEO and the CEO.
Jennifer provides high level strategic advice to the Chief Executive Officer on initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes, overseeing the development of new educational programs, including degrees; the implementation and monitoring of the Institute’s Education Plan, supporting and leadership of the Teaching Centre General Managers including:
- General Manager Hospitality and Business Management/Workplace
- General Manager Innovation and Creative Industries/Innovation
- General Manager Health Sciences and Access/Students
- General Manager Manufacturing and Building Industries/Apprentices
- Executive Director Learning and Academic Affairs
Her position is accountable for ensuring consistency and quality of education provision across the Institute, the development of capacity to meet and deliver on commercial revenue opportunities across teaching Centres, ensuring that all teaching delivery targets, quality and budgetary requirements are met.
A primary objective of her position is to ensure that the Institute maximises available funding for training places and student contact hours from Commonwealth and State sources, through the annual Performance Agreement and through access to growth places provided in a contestable fashion.
Jennifer is also required to establish and maintain strategic relationships with Commonwealth and State Government Agencies.
Professional Background
Jennifer has had over 20 years experience as a TAFE practitioner including teaching and management roles. Prior to her role as Senior Executive Director, Jennifer has been responsible for Learning and Academic Affairs; she has managed Industry Education and Training, including the design and implementation of work-based training programs; language and literacy support; teacher professional development.
Jennifer has represented the Institute at International Forums, on government and industry working parties and steering committees and OECD research projects.
