Entry Level Scholarships

Through its generous sponsors, Box Hill Institute is offering a range of entry level scholarships for students commencing a course in 2009.

These include the scholarships listed below.

Centre for Health and Community Services

Epworth Hospital Nursing Scholarship

Two $1,500 scholarships, sponsored by the Epworth Eastern, are available to students wishing to undertake full time study in the Certificate IV in Health (Nursing) in 2009. This covers all fees and materials for one year of study.

ANZ Business Programs Scholarship

Three $1,000 scholarships, sponsored by ANZ, are available to students applying for a full time certificate, diploma or advanced diploma course within the Centre for Business Programs in 2009.

Budget Car and Truck Rental Business Programs Scholarship

A $1,200 scholarship, sponsored by Budget Car and Truck Rental, is available to students wishing to undertake full time study in the Diploma of Business (Marketing) in 2009.

PropertyInvesting.com Business Programs Achievement Scholarship

An inagural $1,000 scholarship, sponsored by PropertyInvesting.com, is available to students applying for a full time certificate, diploma or advanced diploma course within the Centre for Business Programs in 2009.

RSM Bird Cameron Scholarship

A $1,200 scholarship, sponsored by accounting and consultancy firm RSM Bird Cameron, is available to students applying for full time study in 2009 in the Advanced Diploma of Accounting.

Hannanprint Graphic Arts Scholarship

A $1,200 scholarship, sponsored by Hannanprint, is available to students wishing to undertake full time study in the Diploma of Arts (Graphic Arts) in 2009.

Eligibility

Applicants for an entry level scholarship must

Be Australian citizens or hold permanent resident status in Australia
Meet all entry requirements for the courses as specified in the course information on this website
Be offered a place in the specified course for 2009
Undertake full time study in the specified course in 2009.

Selection criteria

For exit VCE students will be based on

VCE Equivalent National Tertiary Entrance Rank (ENTER)
Other academic achievements in Years 11 and 12
Recommendation from school teachers/coordinator identifying the applicant's commitment to study and extracurricular activities
Recommendation from Course teacher/s if applicable
Part time work or hobby interests in the related field.

For mature age students will be based on

Relevant experience as defined in the course selection criteria
Recommendation from trainers or workplace supervisors, identifying commitment to study and extra curricular activities
Work or hobby interests in a related field
Recommendation from Course teacher/s if applicable.
