Award information

All awards will be in-kind contributions and no part of the award will be given as cash.

Selection criteria

Award 1: applicable to local students only

  • Full time student
  • Excellent academic grades in VCE and other qualifications, and first year BCS results (distinction average)
  • ICT related work experience (if any)
  • Interview results

Award 2: applicable to either local or international students

  • Full time student
  • Good command of English
  • Good academic grades in VCE and other qualifications, and first year BCS results (distinction average)
  • ICT related work experience (if any)
  • Interview results

Award 3: applicable to either local or international students

  • Full time student
  • Good command of English
  • Good academic grades in VCE and other qualifications, and first year BCS results (distinctions and credits)
  • ICT related work experience (if any)
  • Interview results

General conditions

  1. Continuation of all awards is conditional
  2. Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application
  3. Second round offers may be made if a successful recipient of an award does not receive a place in the specified course or does not accept the place offered or the award
  4. There shall be no right of review of any decision in relation to a award
  5. Box Hill Institute reserves the right not to award any awards.

Conditions to retain awards

For Awards 1 and 2 recipients of the awards must maintain their high academic grades of distinction average and must also be a full time student.

For Award 3 recipients of the awards must maintain their high academic grades of a combination of at least 2 distinctions and/or 2 credits and must also be a full time student.

For all awards, students must be available to attend a minimum of 2 Institute events per year and act as a positive ambassador for the Institute and Centre for ICT.

Failure to maintain high academic grades and full time enrolment in the course will end award benefits and the Institution retains all rights to award the remainder of the award to other eligible candidate(s).
