| The City of Whitehorse is generously offering a City of Whitehorse Scholarship to entry level students who reside in the City of Whitehorse and wish to undertake full time study in any certificate, diploma or advanced diploma course at Box Hill Institute in 2009. The entry level scholarship is valued at $4,500 and is available in any area of study. Scholarships generally cover academic fees, prescribed texts and material for one year of study. - A current resident of the City of Whitehorse
- Of low socio-economic background and/ or a recipient of a Centrelink benefit
- Offered a full time place in the specified course for 2009, and
- Meet all entry requirements for the courses as specified in the course information on this website.
Selection criteriaSelection criteria for exit VCE students will be based on - VCE Equivalent National Tertiary Entrance Rank (ENTER) or other academic achievements in Years 11 and 12
- Recommendation from secondary school or Course teacher/s if applicable
- Part time work or hobby interests in the related field and community involvement.
Selection criteria for mature age students will be based on - Relevant experience as defined in the course selection criteria
- Past academic achievements
- Recommendation from trainers or workplace supervisors, identifying commitment to study and extracurricular activities
- Work or hobby interests in a related field and community involvement.
