| Do you want to study something a little more practical? Would you like to make a TAFE subject part of your VCE? If you are in Years 11 and 12 or studying VCAL Box Hill Institute offers VET in Schools. VCE VET in Schools (VETIS) programs are designed to give students vocational skills that will improve their employment prospects. The programs are recognised and approved by industry, and are nationally accredited and lead to more advanced programs. They are based at Certificates II and III levels. You can count these courses as part of your VCE (or VCAL) and ENTER. Sometimes you can do the VETIS course fully at your school. Sometimes you might come to Box Hill Institute for part of the course. In many cases, you come to Box Hill Institute for one day every week for two years. Programs are offered in: automotive, building construction, business, clothing design and production, community work, engineering, equine industry, furniture making, hospitality, multimedia, CISCO networking, and information technology. VETIS courses are fee-paying courses so your parents have to agree to pay the costs up front and must agree to you going to Box Hill Institute.
