“The staff have been very helpful—especially hospitality staff member Kerry Renwick—she was great.”
Picture to use When hospitality management student Danielle Cowburn came to enrol at Box Hill Institute she knew she’d made the right decision.
In February, Danielle enrolled in the Diploma of Hospitality Management to help complete her previous studies at Deakin University in Warrnambool.
“My brother is studying cabinet making here and I’ve had a few friends who’ve been here and said it was really good,” she said.
“The staff have been very helpful—especially hospitality staff member Kerry Renwick—she was great.”
Danielle said she decided to study hospitality at Deakin University’s Warnambool Campus after completing the Victorian Certificate of Education at Vermont Secondary College.
“I decided to move back from Warrnambool—I really needed to come back here. Box Hill Institute is a lot closer for me now,” she said.
Danielle said she had previously seen the Institute’s hospitality facilities on the television show Jamie’s Kitchen.
“Jamie’s Kitchen was fantastic. I love Jamie, he’s great,” she said.
“I haven’t seen a lot of the facilities yet but the Institute is a lot bigger than what I’m used to.”
Danielle said she decided to study hospitality because it offered many job opportunities.
“I will probably look at branching out into something different, like tourism or event management,” she said.
