| The Schools Liaison Unit acts as the student recruitment arm of the Centre for Marketing (Victorian Region). It services over 500 secondary schools within Victoria, as well as community groups, employment agencies and individuals. In its recruitment role the Unit aims to inspire students to take a proactive interest in their tertiary options. It does this by firstly selling the idea of TAFE education and then focusing on the specific benefits of studying at Box Hill Institute. School tours are popular at Box Hill Institute as they are tailored to ‘best fit’ the careers programs in which the students are participating. The Schools Liaison Unit attends a large number of school-based career information days explaining the advantages of a TAFE education to students ranging from years 9 to 12. Staff are also available to attend your career and information evenings where we will talk to parents and students about the benefits of a Box Hill Institute education.
