| The Youth Pathways Program supports young people between 15 and 19 years of age in identifying and developing goals and plans relating to education, training, employment and personal issues. Specialised support is available to help young students complete their course and achieve their goals. Support can include individual or group assistance in: - identifying education, training and employment options
- preparing résumés and letters
- job seeking
- developing a customised pathways plan (which outlines the training and support needed to achieve employment goals)
- referrals to other support services.

VCAL — an Applied Learning Qualification for Younger StudentsFor younger students looking for pathways to further study at TAFE and/or employment (for example, apprenticeships), a Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) program is an option. VCAL is a hands-on option for years 11 and 12 students. It gives practical, work-related experience, extends literacy and numeracy skills and builds on personal skills, which are important for life and work. Like VCE, VCAL is a recognised qualification.
