Web Redevelopment Bulletin 2
Hello,
Since the last bulletin, the Web Redevelopment group have seen progress on many levels, including both planning and operational levels.
New Domain Name: www.boxhillinstitute.edu.au As the Institute is no longer commonly known as Box Hill TAFE (but instead Box Hill Institute) the domain name currently registered (www.bhtafe.edu.au) is contradictory. The new address (www.boxhillinstitute.edu.au) has been recommended by Marketing and Customer Service to EMT to help with Institute branding. This domain name although a little lengthier, is more meaningful which will make it easier to identify spelling errors and will be more useful verbally when used in radio or television campaigns. The implementation of this change is awaiting final approval with the CEO, and is hoped to be implemented soon by ITS.
Web Refresh The re-skin of the current Box Hill Institute website www.bhtafe.edu.au is underway. The designs, reflecting the new branding, have been created and IT Services will be implementing the new look in the coming weeks.
Virtual Career Expo site upgrades If you visit both http://www.virtualcareersexpo.com/bhi and http://skillsone.com.au/VirtualTour/ you will see the new branding for the Institute has been rolled over into these sites used by many prospective students and career advisors.
Metlink Journey Planner Soon to be added to the Box Hill website is a journey planner using the Metlink website which will help people to find their way to the Institute via public transport. This initiative promotes fuel economy, green living and an accessible education minutes from Melbourne CBD.
