Andrew Jackson Award

Future vision lands IT award

A passion for all things IT has won Justin Mosca, the Cisco Systems/Andrew Jackson Memorial Award for Bachelor of Computer Systems (Networking).

“I have always had a keen interest in IT since a young age. IT is an area that I find fascinating having witnessed and forever learning how technology is constantly evolving and the potential it has to change the world we live in today. Technology is so powerful and you can already see that tasks often considered so complex in the past, with the aid of technology now seem so easy and achievable,” said Justin.

“Whilst studying I am self employed providing computer services as well as working for an IT Training and Support company. This allows me to gain real life experience while working towards finishing my degree and moving on to bigger and more exciting challenges.

Justin said that he chose IT as a degree, not only because of his interest but that would always make him employable.

“I chose to study IT, not only because it’s what I enjoy, but also because I think that future is technology. You can’t ignore it; society is so dependent on it and with technology so often changing, there is going to be a strong job market with plenty of opportunities. I’m prepared to do whatever it takes to be a part of the technological revolution and all it has to offer.”
