Hong Lam Vocational College

In 2007, Box Hill Institute established a vibrant extended campus partnership with Hong Lam Vocational College (HLVC) in southern Vietnam.

HLVC was established by the People’s Committee of Baria Vung Tau Province, located midway between Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau.

HLVC aims to improve the technical skills of Vietnamese workers and increase the productivity of local industries such as manufacturing, steel production, ship building and the oil and natural gas sector.

Baria Vung Tau Province is one of the major industrial and electricity producing areas in Vietnam. In line with the current policy of the Vietnamese government, HLVC is training many workers for international work assignments.

The employment and earning capacity of these workers, many of whom will be HLVC graduates, will be significantly enhanced if they have an internationally recognised trade qualification from BHI.

HLVC offers the following Box Hill Institute qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Welding)
