About the International Campuses

An international  campus is an accredited training site attached to a business enterprise or industry that has signed a Service contract with Box Hill Institute.

An international campus conducts Vocational Educational Training (VET) programs on behalf of Box Hill Institute using various models that meet the requirements of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). Over 1800 students are studying Box Hill Institute courses without leaving their homeland.

While a small number are enrolled through our distance delivery centre, the majority are enrolled at one of the Box Hill Institute international extended campuses in the following countries:

China

Guangzhou University — College of Textile and Garments is an accredited training centre offering the following Box Hill Institute programs:

• Business
• ESL.

Shanghai College of Electricity and Machinery Technology (SDJU) offers a number of Box Hill Institute courses in Engineering.

Shanghai Dianji University offers the following Box Hill Institute courses:

• Business
• Engineering Technology
• ESL.

Shanghai Pharmaceutical School, located in Shanghai, is an accredited training centre offering Transport and Distribution courses.

Wuxi Taihu Vocational College s located in Wuxi City. Box Hill Institute programs offered include Business and ESL.

Dubai

Dubai Aluminium is a newly established technical extended campus of Box Hill Institute offering Australian-based trade training to local employees. The programs offered include:

• Electrical
• Instrumentation
• Mechanical.

Fiji

New Zealand Pacific Training Centre is an accredited training centre offering courses in IT, Hospitality and Business.

Campuses are located in Ba, Suva, Nausori, Nadi and Laukota.

Kuwait

Box Hill College Kuwait (BHCK) is a dedicated training facility catering to the education and training needs of Kuwait women. BHCK is expected to commence operations in September 2007. Courses to be offered include:

• Foundation Studies
• Business Studies
• Information & Communication Technology (ICT)
• Graphic Arts & Design
• Science & Biotechnology.

Malaysia

Selangor Human Resource Development Centre (SHRDC) is an accredited training Centre located in Shah Alam Selangor. Courses offered vary based on industry and local demands.

Papua New Guinea

Ok Tedi Mining Ltd is one of the oldest operating Box Hill Institute extended campuses. It is located in Tabubil and conducts Engineering Technology courses to the employees of the company.

Saudi Arabia

The Skills and Art Institute is a newly established  extended campus in Riyadh. Courses being offered include Computer Science, Hairdressing, Fashion and Art.

Singapore, India, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Indonesia, China and Vietnam

Raffles Campus has established a number of accredited training centres across eight countries.  All campuses will offer all or some of the following course areas:

• Business Studies
• Childcare
• Hospitality and Tourism
• Nursing.

Vietnam

Hanoi Open University is an accredited training Centre in Hanoi, Vietnam. Courses offered include:

• Accounting
• Business
• Financial Services
• Hospitality
• IT.

Extended campuses give local students the opportunity to study a Box Hill Institute qualification from within their own country providing a low-cost alternative to studying overseas. Partner organisations deliver Box Hill Institute programs using various models that meet the requirements of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).

Box Hill Institute supports the local organisation and ensures program quality through providing:

• curriculum with Australian accreditation, modified to suit local requirements
• resource materials
• quality evaluation and moderation
• teacher training for the partner organisation to meet AQTF requirements
• assistance with equipment and staff selection
• staff to deliver programs as required.

Students are also provided additional support through Box Hill Institute StudentWeb, which provides students access to Box Hill Institute's extensive online information and services.

Box Hill Institute also offers students pathways to higher education and articulation into degree programs.
