| It has been a long wait, but issue six of Divan is finally here. As with the previous issue, unavoidable technical, production and personnel problems created delays in the publication process. The editing team wishes to apologise for these delays, but is sure that your loyalty to the journal will be rewarded when you come to read the offerings inside: 64 excellent examples of the poetic concerns and interests of many of Australia's new, emerging and established poets. Although Divan was originally envisaged as an annual journal, and was able to maintain this goal for its first four issues, such problems as mentioned above have increasingly become the norm for many small, literary ventures, even more so for this journal, which relies on the availability of suitable student volunteers for the various editing and production positions. However, though these difficulties may challenge us in the future, we at Divan still intend to publish the journal on an annual basis, or as near to it as we can get. We thank you for your ongoing support, which has not only been expressed by visits to the site but also by numerous emails. So now enjoy the fruits of all our labours. Earl Livings Editor August 2006
