What does this course involve?
This course is designed for newly-arrived migrants or people from culturally diverse backgrounds who:
- have intermediate to upper intermediate English skills
- aim to complete further study or work in aged care or children’s services.
This course will help you develop your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
You will study subjects from the Certificate III in Community Services (Aged Care) such as learning how to provide personal care and apply advanced first aid.
You will also study subjects from the Certificate III in Children's Services such as ensuring children’s health and safety, delivering leisure activities and supporting children’s development. You will also undertake an industry placement to further develop your skills.
What employment opportunities will I have?
This course aims to improve your English skills to increase your chances of finding work or prepare for further study in aged care or children’s services.

What further study options will I have?
You may wish to continue your studies in aged care or children's services.
OR
You may wish to progress into the Certificate III in Community Services (Aged Care) or the Certificate III in Children's Services with credits.
You will also be eligible to study other ESL courses such as the Certificates in ESL (Access) or Certificate in ESL (Further Study).
