What does this course involve?
This course is designed for newly-arrived migrants or people from culturally diverse backgrounds who have an intermediate to upper intermediate English skills.
The course will improve your oral and written communication skills so you can prepare for further study or employment. You will also improve your reading, listening and computer skills.
You can choose to study computer subjects and develop skills in using word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
You can also study subjects to increase your knowledge and understanding of Australian culture so you can live and work effectively in the community.

This is a general course which aims to improve your English skills and therefore your overall chances of gaining access to employemnt or further education.

After completing this course, you will be eligible to study other courses in the ESL Framework, such as Cetrificates in ESL (Employment) and Certificates in ESL (Further Study).
