If you like working creatively with threads and textiles, this course will help you explore and develop art and design using textile-based stitch techniques.
You’ll learn how to prepare a design brief, and draw, design and create textile art.
You’ll also develop your skills in operating a studio-based textile art business, marketing your artwork and running exhibitions.
This course will also teach you how to seek sponsorship and manage contracts for art exhibitions and sales.
What employment opportunities will I have?
This course may provide you with a range of employment opportunities in small business ventures to studio-based freelance work. You may choose to become a tutor or a workshop facilitator, or perhaps move into computer generated stitch design and execution, producing both commercial and exhibition works.
