What does this course involve?
If you’re keen to start your own small business, or are already operating one, this course will provide you with the essential skills to become a successful manager.
You will learn the important steps to starting your own business, such as researching opportunities, establishing business and legal requirements and undertake financial planning.
Develop skills in marketing and promoting the business, coordinating resources and analysing consumer behaviour.

This course may provide you with employment opportunities as a manager working for your own small business or for a small business employer.

- You should have an idea for a new small business that you wish to commence, or be already operating your own small business
- You must have successfully completed Year 11 of education, or equivalent
- You must have a basic level of literacy and numeracy
- You must have basic computer skills

Will my previous experience or study count?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC) takes into account the knowledge and skills you’ve already gained through your previous education and work. This may be through formal or informal training, paid or unpaid work experience, and can earn you credit if relevant to your chosen course.
