What does this course involve?
Combining on the job and off the job training, this course is designed for light vehicle mechanics in the automotive industry who want to develop their skills.
You will learn how to apply safe work practices, test and service batteries and carry out repairs to single electrical circuits. Develop your skills in servicing and repairing engine management systems, and learn how to inspect and service cooling systems.
Inspect and service manual, hydraulic and automatic transmissions, and even repair steering and suspension systems.
This course is also available to international students.

Will my previous experience or study count?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC) takes into account the knowledge and skills you’ve already gained through your previous education and work. This may be through formal or informal training, paid or unpaid work experience, and can earn you credit if relevant to your chosen course.
