What does this course involve?
If you’re looking to work as a School Services Officer in the education sector and you have employment in either a primary or secondary school for the full study period, this course covers the range of required skills.
You will build on basic skills, and gain generic and specialised knowledge relevant to the school environment.
You will cover such areas as communication, use of business technology, maintenance of workplace information, language and literacy assistant techniques and library assistant skills.
You will complete Learner Guides containing relevant activities and assessment tasks at home and in the workplace. You must attend a study session each term break at Box Hill Institute. Tutor support is available through workplace visits, phone and email contact for the duration of the traineeship.
