If you want a career in marketing, this course gives you a solid, practical grounding in the basic skills, to prepare you for a marketing role within small business firms or large companies. You must have a training contract with an employer and have previously registered with an Australian Apprenticeship Centre.
You will learn the core principles of marketing philosophy and the basics of business. You will develop the essential skills and techniques employed by marketing practitioners in today's competitive environment, including promoting products and services, profiling the market, analysing consumer behaviour, market research, building client relationships and establishing a marketing mix

You will be able to apply for various marketing positions. Small business firms as well as large companies seek the valuable and practical skills acquired through studying this course.

What further study options will I have?
If you are interested in further training in the marketing field you should apply for the Diploma of Business (Marketing). You will be able to apply for other courses at a more advanced level at other institutions and possibly receive credit for studies already undertaken.
