What does this course involve?

If you want to get a start in an administrative or clerical role, you will need basic business skills. This course gives you a solid grounding in skills that apply to all business roles.

This is the Traineeship version of the Certificate III in Business. You can take this course if you have a training contract with an employer and have previously registered with an Australian Apprenticeship Centre.

This course covers essential skills, such as organising work priorities and workplace information, recommending/delivering services to customers, and supporting leadership through strong communication in a healthy and safe work environment.

You will gain knowledge in effective communication, sound teamwork, competent use of business technology, accurate processing of financial documents and efficient information handling.

This course delivers foundation knowledge and skills required to enter employment as a clerical or administrative worker across all industries.

What further study options will I have?

You may be able to select a specialist study stream at a more advanced level at Box Hill Institute. Options include Certificate IV or Diploma level courses in Business (you can choose from Human Resources, International Trade, Marketing or Public Relations) or the Associate Degree in Commerce.
