This course will provide you with advanced digital technology skills to prepare you for work in the visual communication, arts and design-based industries.
You値l gain a thorough understanding of digital design and production for animation, illustration, image development and enhancement, and interactivity.
You値l learn to develop concepts, apply design in response to briefs and manage marketing strategies.
You値l also gain essential skills in preparing and planning work, and project management.

You may wish to articulate into the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Contemporary Arts at Deakin University and receive credits for studies already undertaken.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide information about occupational health and safety policies and practices, and hazard and risk control in the workplace, to the work group. It covers a range of industry contexts involving a variety of different conditions and hazards. It also describes occupational health and safety competencies applicable for employees with supervisory responsibilities.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare a proposal, formal tender or submission document for a project.
CUFADM02A – Address copyright - (20 hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to protect creative work and performance from unauthorised use.
CUFIMA06A – Develop and implement visual effects designs - (100 hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to interpret the creative brief, develop and implement visual effects designs for any production in the cultural industries.
CUFMEM04A – Test a multimedia product - (40 hours)
This unit refers to the ability to develop a strategy for testing and to conduct the test of a multimedia product within the cultural industries.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required for analysing the requirements and developing the design of a multimedia project within the cultural industries.
CUFMEM10A – Design and create a multimedia interface - (70 hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge to design and create the graphical user interface (GUI) for a multimedia product within the cultural industries.
CUFMEM11A – Design the navigation for a multimedia product - (70 hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to design the navigation for a multimedia product.
CUFPOP09A – Conduct a briefing - (30 hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a briefing prior to the filming or taping of a film or television production. Briefings may be provided to any personnel, cast/performers, crew, ancillary service providers, audiences or the general public.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to interpret the creative brief, develop and implement designs for any product used in the film, television, radio and multimedia productions.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to interpret the creative brief and develop and create titles for productions within the cultural industries.
CUFMEM09A – Apply principles of game design to a multimedia product - (30 hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to incorporate the principles of game design, including planning and designing a game, into the development of a multimedia product for use within the cultural industries.
CUSADM07A – Establish and maintain work and contractual relationships - (70 hours)
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to set up and maintain work relationships,including contracts, within a cultural industries context. It focuses on the relationship building and negotiation skills required by project managers, freelance workers and managers of sections or departments in the industry.
